"Jump Up In The Air And Stay There" is the first leak/single from Erykah Badu's forthcoming, oft-delayed New Amerykah Pt. 2: Return of the Ankh. Anyone (like me) who fell in love with the first New Amerykah has been eagerly anticipating this cut. While a live version of this song leaked late last year, this is the real thing, and it's sounding great. Lil Wayne remains on his "martian" steez while Georgia Anne Muldrow's influence on Ms. Badu remains strong. And that's not a bad thing at all. The depth of the beat on here is particularly great, with the almost-tribal drums leading into synths and crazy back-up vocals.
Return of the Ankh drops March 30 (maybe, according to Badu's official site). You can stream this track at 2DopeBoyz.
