Erykah Badu: "Jump Up In The Air (And Stay There)" f. Lil Wayne & Bilal (Finished Version)

So, apparently the version of Erykah's bonkers and awesome "Jump Up in the Air (And Stay There)" that surface earlier this month wasn't the finished version. This apparently finished version is now streaming here, and the big differences are the better vocal quality and the heavier bass, both of which add to overall greatness of this one. It's still seems completely impossible that this isn't an album track. What is actually on the album must be classic.

New Amerykah is due out on March 30, maybe.

I love Badu on this track but Weezy almost ruins it for me. Two of the "oops I mean" lines? Good lord.

I actually like his verse for the nuttiness. At least he's getting back to being just sub-Tha Carter III, instead of Sub-Rebirth.

It's definitely fun in that sense, but I'm just sick of rappers doing that "oops" BS.

Yeah, as if their bars weren't planned out like that.

Exactly. It's hardly clever anymore. Either way, can't wait to hear the rest of this record.

He sounds a bit like Devin there in places, no?

I can hear that, now that I think about it. As I said, I do enjoy Weezy's verse, but not when he drops two "oops" lines. It just comes off as lazy. /haterade
