It's been four years since the release of Erasure's Light at the End of the World, but the synth-pop stalwarts will be back in less than a month with their fourteenth full-length, Tomorrow's World. And one week prior, they're dropping a brand-new single in "When I Start To (Break It All Down)."
It's a reach-for-the-skies pop jam driven, of course, by frontman Andy Bell's trademark soaring vocals and producer Vince Clarke's catchy-and-glitchy synths and drums. Not only that, but it's proof positive that these guys still have it in them to create arena-ready bouncers some 26 years since their debut single.
Further driving that point home is the above rehearsal footage of Erasure performing "When I Start To" live in a London studio. It's pitch-perfect and a great, jovial shot in the arm as we all start the week. It's also a great preview of what fans can expect to see and hear should they cop tickets to the band's forthcoming U.S. tour. The jaunt kicks off tomorrow at Terminal 5 in New York City and then moves across the States before wrapping up in Seattle, Wash. in early October.
You can view the tour dates below. Tomorrow's World drops Oct. 4 and is available for pre-order here. The expanded single for "When I Start To" drops Sept. 27.
