In Envy's new video for "Worn Hells And The Hands We Hold," a mysterious woman dressed all in black wanders around a forest, a city and a rain-soaked field, reading from a book that is simultaneously being read by a shadowy man, presumably Envy's lead singer Tetsuya Fukagawa. It doesn't sound terribly exciting on paper, but when its backed by some of the most emotionally intense post-rock inspired hardcore currently being made, it takes on a considerable weight.
Recitation is due out Oct. 12 via Temporary Residence.
[Revolver]
probably has something to do with Kuroi Jukai and Aokigahara.
