Crocodiles went kinda ’80s for their latest album, Endless Flowers, using that decade’s rich strain of indie pop as a jumping-off point to explore pop music in all its guises. They have that dark-eye romanticism, but there’s also a healthy ’60s pyschedelia streak in their sound.
These twin elements also join forces in the video for the song “Endless Flowers.” It kicks off with some pretty frightening imagery of an obsessed fan carving the band’s name into her arm. But then the video settles into a tongue-in-cheek ode to the kinds of big budget videos you would have seen from any matter of ’80s hair bands, albeit one that’s dipped in copious amounts of acid.
