Eminem: "Won't Back Down" f. Pink

While track list announcements don't typically move me, I couldn't help but feel slightly uncomfortable seeing Pink and Rihanna featured on Eminem's upcoming Recovery album. Aren't they the type of singers Marshall would normally rip apart on his typically goofy/trite singles? Well, I guess he really is moving away from most of his earlier material with this record, something he displayed instantly on emo lead single "Not Afraid."

After sounding much more focused on "Not Afraid," Eminem is kind of all over the place for his duet with Pink. Her hook is on some epic "We Will Rock You" shit while Em moves from one topic to the next. He calls himself a shit stain on the underwear of life at one point and references Lil Wayne's syrup addiction at another. I've honestly listened to this track five times now and I'm still not sure what's being said here beyond the fact Em and Pink "Won't Back Down." Eh, this all sounded better on The Eminem Show's "'Till I Collapse." I'm equally on the fence about DJ Khalil's rock-driven production, which at times is borderline corny.

You can stream "Won't Back Down" below or listen over at Nah Right. Recovery drops June 22.

F Em. Seriously. He has always been one of my favorite MC's until he got off drugs I guess. Pink? Rhianna? Who's next, N'Sync? He is pissing me off. I'd like to shove a vicodin down his throat.

Em can really sacrifice narrative for technique sometimes. To a serious fault. Like on all of Encore. I don't get this track. "Not Afraid" had me thinking dude shook the cobwebs out for good, but this is a real curveball. PS, the Pink feature's all right. She's hard working and a decent singer/performer, even if her music isn't for me.

vic: wtf is wrong with you? the man nearly died because of his drug addiction. yes, the features are a weird choice for him but still. you don't need to say such stupid s**t.

I'm with LW. Em definitely shows off his rhyming ability on here but that's about it.

I Like Not Afraid More Better,But i guess hes trying to reinvent himself,he wants to make more different music for his fans, quit hating

The beat drowns out the vocals, I couldn't tell what he was saying for most of it because of the rock based beat. It could be a sit track with the two styles but the beat is just not working. Doesn't flow at all.

Its fire I cant believe the people leaving negative ****. A few more listens and you all will be lovin it.

just bad quality

To the other Corey; your system must be poo poo cuz Ican hear the bass drum and his vocals fine. Growing up from age 0-20 I lived off 8 mile road (literally behind my back yard), and this song is the attitude many of us have so If you dont like it f-off.

Eminem is definatly one of the best rappers ever. This track is kinda all over the place though, and DJ Kahlid(idk wtf his name is) needs to chill with those beats. he's trying to hard. Anyways, EM'S firgurin ---- out. give him a break. he's still the $#^% and always will be
