This Syndrome-directed clip for Eminem's "3 A.M." was supposed to be so dark and gritty that it could only premiere on Cinemax, a channel whose late night programming ushered many a child into adolescence before the revelation of easily accessible internet porn. While this video unforunately doesn't live up to the hype, it does live up to its accompanying track, which is just a list of gruesome acts committed for no apparent reason, other than the fact that Eminem is "s0 screwed up and crayzee."
There certainly is a ton of violence of in the video, but without a narrative stringing it together it's just a gratuitous death montage, struggling to be edgy. What Eminem will likely find in his comeback, is that it's not 2001 anymore, and that his audience isn't so easily shocked.

The video was meh. Good call Cinemax. Until Dexter, I can't remember anyone mentioning that channel for any other purpose than watching soft core porn at midnight. I even remember such hits as Alien Erotica II.
