English singer-songwriter Ellie Goulding is currently in the country to promote her Lights album from last year. She appeared on Jimmy Kimmel’s show last night (April 7) to perform “Starry Eyed,” which was the second single to be taken from that record and may be familiar to anyone who has seen Kick-Ass. It’s an odd mix of Goulding’s raspy voice and bubbly pop elements, which sound slightly jarring at first, but have clearly found favor with a record-buying public in the U.K. who made Lights one of the best-selling albums of 2010.
