The Electric Six, who after the breakup of the Darkness have cornered the market on ridiculous, over-the-top rock, will be released their fifth album (!), Flashy, this October. While the band has received declining reviews since their undeniably awesome debut Fire in 2003, the band is by no means done with the absuridty, and the latest video for "Formula 409," proves it. Don't look for this song in a Price is Right commercial break anytime soon, as it has more innuendo and hard rock guitars than a standard commercial jingle.
The "Formula 409" video is even more over the top, featuring men with Dinosuar masks (Dinomen?) kidnapping and imprisoning innocent business types around Detroit, subjecting them to elecroshock therapy and quelling their escape. This video is like One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest for the ironic generation, except with more violence. In short, "Formula 409" makes us more excited for an Electric Six album than we've been in a long time.

Ain't nothing wrong with Electric Six. The last album rocked.
