El-P: "Time Won't Tell" (Nocando Remix)

The original version of El-P's "Time Won't Tell" appeared on his fully instrumental Weareallgoingtoburninhellmegamixxx3 opus, which dropped in the summer of 2010. Like other cuts on the album, "Time Won't Tell" is jam-packed with punch-you-in-the-chest drums, beastly synthesizers, and punchy guitar riffs. Together, it makes for the kind of music you would like to play while speeding down a dark, winding road at midnight.

Perhaps that's just what Cali-based rapper Nocando was doing when he came up with the idea to rap over the otherwise difficult track. The freestyle veteran clearly spent some time with this one, though. His remix sounds like the song had his vocals attached all along. The success of Nocando's remix leaves me wondering if he's planning on tackling every track on Megamixxx3. We'll see.
