El-P: "Drones Over BKLYN" (Streaming)
He might be recording joint albums with Killer Mike and Nick Thorburn, respectively, but El-P hasn't stopped putting together a follow-up to 2007's brilliant I'll Sleep When You're Dead. Tentatively titled Cancer For Cure, we're not really sure when it's going to be released. But we do know that the first track we're hearing off it, "Drones Over BKLYN," is an absolute beast. El-P only seems to get better at spitting with every subsequent release and, really, the same can be said for his production. Some of his fans might prefer is earlier stuff, sure, but you cannot deny the immense quality of "Drones Over BKLYN." And that track-ending breakdown? Too good.
