"Unhinged" starts with a young girl in bed, innocently reading the classic satirical novel Gulliver's Travels by Jonathan Swift. By the end of the video, we're dealing with a bizarre stop-motion sequence that includes Lilliputian-sized images of Jesus and priests watching a black-and-white movie about Jesus, the girl tied up at the whim of naked porcelain baby dolls (does she need the original Vivian Girls to rescue her?). The Yahoos, Struldbrugs, and Laputians may as well be there in spirit.
For a song about lost innocence, this is a particularly inspired video, directed by John Cannizzaro. "Unhinged" appears on 'End Times' (available on iTunes).
whoa.
Song is pretty great
We should do a list of the best stop-motion music videos.
I think the race for music video of the year is officially on.
Pffft. Mini Daddy Has that contest wrapped up already.
No one is topping Mini Daddy. Good point Andross.
It is kind of like the ending credits of Moral Oral who does stop motion animation with Jesus Characters.
