Eels: "In My Dreams" (Live on Letterman) (Video)

Mark Oliver Everett from Eels looks like a cross between the Unabomber and a rabbi on this performance on David Letterman’s show. Everett is promoting the current Eels record, Hombre Loco, which has blown away his fanbase in Belgium, where the album hit the number 1 spot.

It’s unlikely that many Belgians were in attendance for this performance of “In My Dreams,” which is a piano-driven number that mirrors Everett’s past work as a Randy Newman-esque troubadour. Homber Loco is Spanish for “wolf man” or “werewolf,” but even Everett isn’t that hairy…yet.
