Editors: "Papillon" and "Bricks and Mortar" (Live on Kimmel) (Video)

Remember when the post punk revival happened and it became fashionable for every band to rip off Joy Division? Editors missed the meeting when that moment passed and it was declared that other bands should be mined for inspiration, and they’ve somehow managed to produce a third album, titled In This Light and on This Evening.

The band showed up on Jimmy Kimmel’s show last night (Feb. 10) to play “Papillon” and “Bricks and Mortar” from the record. Their sound hasn’t changed a great deal, in fact they’ve simply stirred some New Order-y synths into the mix this time out, which must have Bernard Sumner either looking on in rye amusement of reaching for the phone number of his lawyer.

Wow. Aren't they bored?

Another question: Does Kimmel always have those ads behind the performers?

Oh man, I love the fat guy singing along at the beginning of the top video. Classic.

What's with all the Editors hate? I happen to like them. If they are so bad, why bother posting video of performances?
