The 11th studio album by Echo & the Bunnymen is due for release next week, and is titled The Fountain. Hopefully it wasn’t inspired by Darren Aronofsky’s sci-fi misfire of the same name. The band showed up on Jools Holland’s Later last night, where they performed “Think I Need It Too” from the new record.
The song has been compared to the Bunnymen’s 1985 hit “Lips Like Sugar,” and it has a similarly upbeat, radio-friendly feel. Founder members Will Sergeant and Ian McCulloch may be looking a little portly these days, but the latter still has a great voice, and has retained some of the snarly proto-Oasis attitude that made him so endearing back in the day.

It's getting harder and harder to remember how great those 1st three albums were. Meh.
