Though Eaux may be an unfamiliar name to you, the band's former incarnation, Sian Alice Group, had a large, cult following. Rising from the ashes of this group's demise, Eaux still features Sian Ahern's crystalline soperano croons, but this project has a darker side to it.
Incorporating elements of krautrock, psychedelia, industrial and post punk, the London-based trio creates dark, electronic soundscapes that are both beautiful and macabre. Today, the three-piece shares "New Peaks," the icy second single off its upcoming debut EP, i, which is slated for a November 19 release via Morning Ritual Records. The track features Ahern's soaring vocals floating atop new-wave-tinged guitarwork, industrial synths and crunching percussion.
