The highlight of Duran Duran’s latest comeback is this hugely entertaining interview with the Quietus, in which they discuss Jo-Si fan fiction, Andy Warhol’s masturbation habits, and working with Timbaland. Jay Leno points out in his intro here that they’ve sold over 80 million records worldwide, which is no mean feat, although this performance of the title track from All You Need Is Now suggests that new record won’t add much to the total. It’s too bad they couldn’t break out into “Girls on Film” or “Save a Prayer” (or the career high, “The Chauffeur”) for Leno, but such are the demands of the current-album promo treadmill.

So, you think this song will not add to the record sales that Duran Duran have, huh? You might want to check out the iTunes download results...#1 in 15 countries and they are still selling out shows left and right. Los Angeles' 2 shows sold out in PREsales. This is the album they have needed to make many many years ago.
