“Bhang” is the name for a cannabis strain that is smoked throughout India and the video for Dum Dum Girls’ “Bhang, Bhang, I’m a Burnout” is visually fitting. Grainy footage upon a tie-dye of overexposed colors washed across the face of lead-singer, Dee Dee, is a perfect fit in reference to the smoked Indian-substance and Dum Dum Girls brand of skuzzy, three-chord garage pop. Adjectives like "trippy" and "psychedelic" certainly come to mind. The video was directed by Christin Turner who also directed the video for “Jail La La.” Apparently, Turner and Dum Dum Girls will be pulling a "Sonic Youth" and making a video for every song off their debut, I Will Be.
