Duffy appeared on Ellen Degeneres’ show yesterday (Dec. 7) to perform the Motown influenced “Well, Well, Well.” Like most of her songs, this is a track designed to let her vocals shine, and they have a horse squeak to them here, somewhat reminiscent of Lulu’s performance on the classic pop hit “Shout.” Are people tiring of the retro-soul explosion that emerged a couple of years ago with the likes of Amy Winehouse, Adele, and Duffy? Sales of the latter’s Endlessly in the U.K. certainly haven’t lived up to the lofty expectations set in motion by the prior Rockferry, although it’s early days yet.
nahhhhh..this is cool enough...at least its things leaning in a good direction compared to the unreal no talents of britney and a million other false and hyper sexualized digital creations...i'm happy just seeing a fully fledged band like that playing behind her instead of a backing track ...let's not be too churlish.....also she's not pretending to be a black woman in her singing like say joss stone .
