Drummer: "Diamonds to Shake" (MP3)

Patrick Carney, 50 percent of the Black Keys, has thrown his creative weight into a side-project called Drummer. Before you think that Carney's new band has a name that's more than a little self-indulgent, the moniker comes from the fact that all of the band's members -- Jamie Stillman from Party of Helicopters and Teeth of the Hydra, Steve Clements of Houseguest, Jon Finley of Beaten Awake, and Greg Boyd of Ghostman and Sandman -- have been drummers at some point or another. (Boyd does the actual drumming here.) "Diamonds to Shake" is a pleasant piece of shoegaze-tinged rock, and will be accompanied by the band's full-length debut this fall, released by the Carney-founded Audio Eagle. [MOKB]
