Last night, somehow for like the 30th year in a row, Canada celebrated the popular, yet terrible, picture film Juno. As part of celebrating that movie about Ellen Page getting preciously pregnant, Drake performed his current single "Over" because he is Canadian. It's easy to forget Drake's Canadian status, but it occurred to me the two biggest stars of the last year--Drake and Justin Bieber--are both Canadian. They're planning a takeover, y'all.
At any rate, Drake's performance of "Over" was okay, but for the life of me, I will never understand who Drake is railing against here. Does he really have a lot of haters, and people who suddenly think he's great? Because, at least for that latter part, that's basically everyone on earth. I mean, Jay-Z didn't know who he was last year, and neither did Lil Wayne. So technically, he is pissed that Wayne and Jigga are suddenly all for him. Which seems pretty dumb.
"Over" is from Drake's Thank Me Later, which is due out later this summer.
Hahahahaha, I totally agree. Also, where did that southern accent come from?
"Last night, somehow for like the 30th year in a row, Canada celebrated the popular, yet terrible, picture film Juno."
awesome.
I agree that I don't think the guy has many haters. The world is pretty much saying he's the next big thing or already is.
Anyways, I love the track. Maybe not live but the song has been on repeat for me.
Drake has a lot of haters because of his new statut and his past.
But the song is very good live i think.
