Dr. Dog, Philadelphia’s best Beatles-pastiche artists, have finally released a song that perfectly defines their aesthetic: “The Old Days,” off their forthcoming new album, Fate (out on July 15 via iTunes, and July 22 on CD). The barrel roll of the rhythm section works great with the “Chop Chop Chop” chorus, and the song clatters and bangs around until a polite guitar solo closes the track. The good canine Dr. is back.
