Dr. Dog has a released a video of "The Ark," the true standout track from their recent album Fate. We love the song here at Prefix, and the video is equally captivating with a bloodied, detached head being dragged to its body with the wonders of nature overwhelming the imagery. Stereogum says the video is influenced by the 1974 experimental film The Holy Mountain, and while I have not seem the film, I'll take their word for it. It certainly befits the biblical Noah theme of the song, and the concept of feeling alienated from humanity but still trying to connect in spite of it. In terms of interesting music videos, this may be one of the better ones we've seen all year. Kudos to directors Adam Kurland and Gary Breslin.
