Are Dr. Dog now regarded as “big time rock stars”? Craig Ferguson seemed to think so in his intro to the band on his show last night (Nov. 3), and the new-ish Shame, Shame record seems to have been their most successful yet. This version of “Someday” from the album is as good an introduction to the group as anything else—elements of Sgt. Pepper style psychedelia emerge, along with a country-rock hue and the quirky pop angles of bands like XTC and Camper Van Beethoven.
