Domo Genesis, Hodgy Beats: "Tang Golf"

In May 2010, the Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All collective released the Radical mixtape. And it was probably the closest thing they have done to a typical hip-hop mixtape as it featured the MCs spitting over a selection of industry beats. Most of their choices were pretty standard at the time, such as Rich Boy's "Drop" and Gucci Mane's "Lemonade." But, of course, they went outside the box at times, like when Tyler, the Creator spit over "Leather Prowler" by Liars.

Now with all of that in mind, I'm hopeful that they might have a similar project* in the works for this year. At least, that's how I'm feeling after hearing "Tang Golf," which features two of the OFWGKTA wolves rapping over GZA's "4th Chamber." And both resident stoner Domo Genesis and Hodgy Beats sound great over the brooding beat, with the latter continuing his streak of tenacious bars delivered with a fuck-the-law attitude. Or #swag, if you will.

Stream "Tang Golf" below.

*It could also mean another Hodgy Beats solo effort, though, because he did just give away "Mystery." We'll see.

I'm starting to think Earl disappearing has been good for Hodgy Beats. Dude is legitimately the second best rapper in the crew now, and maybe people will start noticing.
