“Do Work” F. Don Trip

David Banner’s latest cut off his upcoming The Make Believe Album, “Do Work,” was apparently supposed to drop tomorrow. But he surprised fans last night when he uploaded the hectic track to his YouTube account. It’s an interesting turn from previous single “Swag,” though the message appears to be in the same vein. Basically, the Jackson, Miss. native is looking to instill meaningful, socially poignant messages without sounding preachy. That being said, “Do Work” is way too frantic and all over the place. And it leaves the listener more confused than anything else as the underlying message gets lost in its sirens-laden beat. Stream it below.
