DJ Khaled: "I'm On One" f. Drake, Rick Ross & Lil Wayne
As expected, DJ Khaled doesn't do much aside from some intro/outro shouting on "I'm On One," the latest leak from We The Best Forever. Maybe it's because he heard the song and realized that it's way too good for him to ruin with his gruff screaming. It opens with some appropriately muffled drums and synths via T-Minus and Noah "40" Shebib before the latter's close pal comes in and steals the show.
Drake might flex his usual sad-man bravado on the hook, but he perfectly blends it into his verse. It also sets the stage for Rick Ross and Lil Wayne, who try as they might cannot top their Canadian buddy's work here. It makes me wish this was a leak off Drake's planned sophomore album, Take Care, instead of what will likely be a bloated compilation from Khaled.
