Along with numerous performances and typical award show shenanigans, last night's BET Awards' pre-show featured the video premiere for what many have called the "hip-hop song of the summer." I concur. And given its lineup alone, DJ Khaled's "I'm On One" was sure to be a hit no matter what. But Drake, Rick Ross, and Lil Wayne all turn out for this track, especially Drake, who steals the show with his opening verse and chorus. As for the song's video, it's pretty much in line with what we have seen from these guys in the past. Drizzy hangs around at a late-night party, Ross drives around a city*, and Weezy flirts with a female while also chilling with Birdman. The thing is, while we have all seen this before, it doesn't really matter. A track like "I'm On One" isn't going to win -- or lose, in this case -- based on its video alone.
Khaled's We The Best Forever is due out next month.
*Seriously, is there a video featuring Ross where he's not driving around?
