DJ Babu: "Lil Juanito" (MP3 - Download)
DJ/producer DJ Babu has remained prolific both as a member of the Dilated Peoples and on his own. He has released several solo albums in the past few years, such as 2008's solid Duck Season Vol. 3 -- the fourth installment is due out in 2010. Also dropping next year from Babu is The Beat Tape Vol. 2, a fully instrumental disc featuring 39 tracks. The first leak from that album is "Lil Juanito," a track filled with smooth funk and some excellent drums.
The Beat Tape Vol. 2 drops Feb. 23, 2010.
