More than those of any other band working today probably, Dirty Projectors' performances seem to recall watching the guts of some fabulous and foreign machine at work. There's something about the band's apparent professionalism and patience that seems a little bit inhuman. Watch what I'm talking about in this clip of the band performing "No Intention" for Sirius Sattelite Radio's XMU Sessions. The session will also include performances by Dinosaur Jr., the Raveonettes, and Thao Nguyen. The full Dirty Projectors performance will air tonight at 9 p.m. ET on XMU.

I like the sound of vinyl string guitar in this song..
also, I love watching Coffman, Deradoorian and Dekle harmonize during live performances,, watching the individual parts combine to a fabulous machine is a great analogy..
