The release of Dinosaur Jr.'s new album, Farm, is still a couple months away, but it's never too early to grab a Mountain Dew and get a small fix of some new slack-rock tricks from some old slack-rock dudes. "I Want You to Know" is exactly what you'd expect from these guys, which is to say that it is awesome. Crunching guitars, crashing cymbals, Barlow's bass throbbing away and another towering guitar solo from Mascis, pulled out of seemingly bottomless bag of shredding licks. I mean, really, what else do you need to know?
Farm is out June 23 on Jagjaguwar. [Pitchfork]
