Wait a second...I thought we were done with stuff like this after the whole nu-metal thing faded away. I'm not complaining or anything, it's just somewhat surprising that a hip-hop anthem like "Fight the Power" would get remade 21 years later. But hey, at least Chuck D was involved as he joined Dillinger Escape Plan for this metal-rap version of the Public Enemy classic. And, you know, it's actually not that bad at all. It also kind of reminds you that PE was at the forefront of the metal-rap movement when they collaborated with Anthrax in '91.
This version of "Fight the Power" will appear in the PC video game Homefront.
