Stones Throw, the esteemed folks who brought us J Dilla, are now putting out Share My Bed, an album from turntablist J. Rocc that pairs Dilla and Michael Jackson. Our first taste of that, filed under the name Dil Jackson, is a track called "Player Has Butterflies" that throws MJ's "You Give Me Butterflies" over the beat to Slum Village's "Players." It seems hard to believe that no one has had the idea to throw these soulful dudes together before and it would seem easy for it to become tacky, but this track benefits from taking from less than iconic source material as Jackson's vocals sink easily into the soulful groove of Dilla's laid back beat. [Gorilla vs. Bear]

I'm kind of nervous about this project, if only because it seems like a cash grab from ST. But I trust all the players involved so I won't yell any obscenities just yet.
