
You're now reading what will probably be the only time we post about Dierks Bentley here at Prefix. As you are most likely aware, there have been Pink Floyd tribute performances going on all week on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon. Last night, the program had its one slight curve ball performance when Bentley took the stage to cover Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here." And while it starts out just fine and he keeps the twangs to a minimum, the pedal steel guitar sticks out for all the wrong reasons. To be fair, he deserves some credit for choosing perhaps the biggest Pink Floyd song ever, but this is mostly just disappointing and, for some, like hearing screeching country nails on a chalk board.
