It’s starting to look like Die Antwoord’s moment in the spotlight may be a brief one. Lukewarm reviews of the recently re-released $O$ album suggest people are already getting tired of their shtick, which is an indication of the brief shelf life bands often endure in these cut-and-thrust times.
But the group showed up on Jimmy Kimmel’s show last night (Oct. 20) to play one of its most familiar songs, “Enter the Ninja,” and put on an impressive show in the process. The members of Die Antwoord must know that this isn’t going to last forever, and despite a poor sound mix, they do a decent job of entertaining Kimmel's large outdoor crowd in LA.
i think i'd rather get his hair style than listen to another song.
HAHAHA look at the mohawk at 2:43. Can you imagine how he explained going to the Jimmy Kimmel show to all his friends? "Nah dude, it's to see a rap group that was cool on the internet six months ago. Not like I watch Jimmy Kimmel or anything."
