With a video that's equal parts Napoleon Dynamite, late night phone sex commercial and Wes Anderson film, this single from Destroyer's upcoming new album, Kaputt, is pretty lovely. For the title track to this outlet's ninth (!) record, Dan Bejar coos gentle lyrics about girls, cocaine and the British music press over a jazzy disco beat -- there's even a meandering saxophone melody. The video, directed by Dawn Garcia, turns the whole thing into the prettiest surrealist dream about girls and cocaine I've ever seen.
Kaputt is out Jan. 25.
