TV viewers across the world can’t avoid the members of Depeche Mode as they undertake some rigorous promotional duties for their new album, Sounds of the Universe. One minute they’re entertaining record crowds in Los Angeles for Jimmy Kimmel, then they’re appearing on British TV show Later with Jools Holland less than a week later.
The band plays the album’s first single, “Wrong,” on this performance, which is the strongest track on the record by a considerable distance. Sounds of the Universe is proving to be Depeche Mode’s most popular full-length release since the late ‘90s, having reached number 2 in the U.K. album chart and number 3 on the Billboard 200.

In my personal opinion, DM just put themselves back on the top with this track. Among all the electro bands that came after them. Nothing wrong with this right song at the right time when electro or electronic music seems so vague and monotanous in 2009. This is 'wrong' for the right reasons. Brilliant DM. |

This was by far better than the Kimmel performance. Looking forward to the tour starting next week in Luxembourg!
