How do make a video for a song as whimsical as Deerhoof’s “Chandelier Searchlight?” With construction paper animation of course. In the clip from the Offend Maggie standout, a paper soul travels through the underworld, crosses the river Styx (no Mr. Robotos are involved), and is hounded by lightning, fire, and a three-headed dog. Apparently someone’s been reading Greek mythology texts.

Offend Maggie is out now via Kill Rock Stars.
