Georgia Anne Muldrow and Dudley "Declaime" Perkins have been delivering their galactic combination of funk/soul/hip-hop, both together and solo, since the early 2000s. But it was their 2010 album, SomeOthaShip, that made the biggest impact. It began a stream of new material from both artists, particularly the prolific producer/singer/rapper Muldrow, and showcased their impressive ability to complement a number of styles. They get all grimy with Black Milk and Kool G Rap on "Heaven or Hell" and then blast off into outer space on the Flying Lotus-produced "Mages Sages II." Those are just two of many highlights on SomeOthaShip, which also features Oddisee, Rapper Big Pooh, and MED.
