Dead Man's Bones: "Pa Pa Power" (Video)

· by

The surprisingly great debut Dead Man's Bones album from actor Ryan Gosling and his buddy Zach Shields was one of the unexpected highlights of 2009. Their collaboration with the Silverlake Conservatory Children’s Choir takes another natural step forward here with this touching video, which was shot in front of the elderly residents of a special needs home.

Gosling explains the premise of the record before the performance, prompting one of the residents to ask: “When are you going to serve food?” But after that jokey start it’s down to serious business, with Shields, Gosling and the choir delivering an affecting version of “Pa PA Power” before things take a creepier turn in this almost 13-minute long clip.
