It’s not likely that much will be revealed by Bon Iver doing a subdued down Daytrotter session, Justin Vernon’s music is so stripped down that unless he adds a searing guitar solo, an orchestra, or a choir, the songs are all going to sound pretty much identical to the studio versions. And that’s the case with Bon Iver’s Daytrotter session, but that doesn’t mean the songs aren’t great and haunting (“Lump Sum” is the highlight here).
