Is it hot or not? poses Concrete Loop this morning of Dawn Richard’s new track, “U.G.L.Y.” Richard was in Diddy’s Making the Band group Danity Kane on the 2005 season; now, she’s working on a solo project and with Diddy on his new album, Dirty Money. The track has autotune, a classic guitar riff, and a hot, love-sick hook. “U.G.L.Y./You ain’t got no alibi,” sounds like the reprise to a schoolyard clapping game. Whether Richards will join Cassie, Rihanna and the other A-listers on the cool side of the playground remains to be determined.
