David Byrne and Dirty Projectors: "Ambulance Man" (MP3)

David Byrne and Dirty Projectors' "Knotty Pine" was one of many highlights on the Dark Was the Nightcompilation, but it turns out the kindred spirits recorded another track that didn't make the album: "Ambulance Man," which Byrne performed with Dirty Projectors at this last weekend's Dark Was the Night performance. Lucky for us, the studio MP3 has hit the net, and it showcases the slower, torch song and epic harmony capabilities of Dirty Projectors, while Byrne still wonders about the trappings of wealth (his suit this time out). "Knotty Pine" certainly made the Dirty Projectors/Talking Heads comparisons make more sense, but "Ambulance Man" makes the comparison seem so obvious.
