Datarock: "Give It Up" and "True Stories" (Videos)

Datarock have a new double a-side single out now, which features "Give It Up" and "True Stories," a Talking Heads tribute, and the Norwegian band has released two really entertaining videos for the tracks. The specter of gang conflicts in music videos (like Michael Jackson's "Bad") and films ( The Warriors and West Side Story ) hangs heavy on "Give It Up" (above), which features a pretty bad ass dance-off between two dueling crews. There's a lot of dancing in the Coke commercial-looking "True Stories," which features lyrics comprised mostly of Talking Heads song titles (like "Once In a Lifetime," etc.). [ Pitchfork ]
