We already got a taste of Jack White’s collaboration with Danger Mouse and Daniele Luppi on their upcoming Rome album, and now here comes another track from the trio. The record has been inspired by classic spaghetti western soundtracks, and it’s not hard to hear that influence here—the doomily hummed backing vocals could have been extracted straight from an Ennio Morricone score. There’s some neatly understated guitar playing at work here, which suits White’s forlorn vocal, and makes Rome sound like it will be well worth waiting for when it officially surfaces on May 17.
