Dan Black, Kid Cudi: "Symphonies (Rmx)"

UK "Wonky Pop" artist Dan Black, who has floated around the English airwaves for little over a year with his catchy mix of pop melodies, hip-hop drum breaks, and electro flourishes, is finally hitting American shores with his single "Symphonies." The track, which iTunes named single of the week earlier this month, jacks the drums from Rhianna's "Umbrella" with symphonic-rock strings to produce one of the more quality pop songs with huge potential.

And now we have a remix -- which is pretty much the same thing. Besides throwing Kid Cudi on top, adding a verse at the front-end with some additional vocal overdubs, the tracks follows the exact formula as the original. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, as pleasure from the track hinges on the irresistible chorus, which is left intact.
