The reaction to Nas and Damian Marley's joint album, Distant Relatives, was an interesting one, to say the least. The Queensbridge rapper's fans were split on how they felt about the record. They either appreciated the new direction taken by Nas or just dismissed it entirely, which is actually kind of on par with anything he's dropped since Illmatic.
That being said, he's clearly not done pushing Distant Relatives as he and Marley linked with acclaimed director Nabil Elderkin for this gorgeous video for "Patience." It's heavily linked to the lyrics spit by both Jr. Gong and Nas, who here play the role of a cloaked-monk figure and a king, respectively. The moody, reflective song is enough of a reason to watch the video at least twice, but Elderkin's lush imagery will definitely have you coming back for more.
