Dam-Funk: 'Spiritual Flight' (Mixtape)

Back in 2009, Dam-Funk put together a killer mixtape of boogie-funk and gospel music for his label, Stones Throw, as part of their ongoing artist podcast series. But as the Los Angeles funk-master tells it, the mixtape, Spiritual Flight, was "was 'cut down' due to bandwidth rules" on the label's site.

Dam obviously never forgot about the project, because he uploaded it on his own terms (read: his Soundcloud) last night as a gift to his fans this holiday season. It's 67 minutes worth of gospel-tinged funk and soul, something you could probably play around the house if your family doesn't mind a lil' bounce in its collective ounce. You can stream and download the mixtape below.
