Dam-Funk: "I Want A Girl" & "Some People" (Unreleased From 1989)
Good news, Dam-Funk fans. I've learned from the Los Angeles funk maestro himself that his follow-up to 2009's Toeachizown is in the works and set to drop in April 2012. But before he's ready to share some proper new tunes, Dam's dug deep into his vaults again to share two previously unreleased cuts. Whereas his recently exhumed material was from the past decade or so, he's gone all the way back to the late '80s with "I Want a Girl" and "Some People." In his words, you can "[l]ook at it as a 45" I would've self-released back then, but...didn't." Word. Stream/download the tracks below.
