Cymbals: "No Bad Decisions"
Last year, Cymbals were a three piece band that released their debut record, Unlearn, through Bandcamp. This year, they filled out to a four piece, and are now putting out a new record with that lineup. Titled Sideways, Sometimes, it's being released by Tough Love Records on Apr. 23. "No Bad Decisions" is the first release off Sideways, and it extracts a whole lot of fun out of a sequence of increasingly tightly wound riffs: an updated Gang of Four bass line; some Americanized Afrobeat guitars; a four-note keyboard melody.
